Socializing of a pit bull puppy is definitely important. A small Pitbull really should be allowed to socialize with many people and different animals. Allow him to enjoy a good experience with many others. This is important. It is important to let the puppy to become accustomed to other people early on. By no means take on a Pitbull puppy then keep him isolated from visitors and other animals. This may be problematic. They typically want to make their owners happy. A mistreated dog or one that is constantly ignored may turn out to be aggressive and problematic.
Do NOT buy an animal from Craig's List or any other website, unless it's a shelter or rescue website and you are paying an "adoption fee." Again, you don't know the reputation of the facility the pet is coming from and some "Internet breeders" get their "supply" from mills.
When we bought a small flock of chicks a few years ago, a heat lamp was how we kept the little gals warm until they developed feathers. Heat lamps are special infrared lamps that duplicate the infrared rays of the sun. These rays don't heat up the air but are instead absorbed through an animal's skin as "heat energy." A properly placed heat lamp can keep nesting areas warm, and gives the animals a warm place to move into out of the chilly air.
While it is still warm enough to enjoy being outside find some time to clean out the garage. Start off the good deeds of the upcoming holiday season by donating what you no longer need to a charity such as Goodwill or Salvation Army. Most people have some stuff hanging around the garage or home that they will never, ever use again. So donate it and let someone else who needs it find a nice surprise at a charity store.
